Project Sounds of the Jungle heads off again to the village of Lechuza where the Ngöbe people live. We are returning to hold a song-writing workshop where we will gather the Christians, young and old, and write songs to the Lord in the Ngöbe indigenous style and in their native language.
We will teach on the importance of worship to our creator with the music and language of our heart. We will also show the incredible impact these songs can have in the Ngöbe culture. Our plan is to record these newly composed scripture and worship songs in order to present them at an evangelistic culture celebration they will invite the community to next month
Many of the people of Lechuza have lost some of their traditional music. The church had given it up because they were told it was pagan and evil. The un-churched Ngöbes gave it up for Latino country music associated with drunken parties. After talking with the Pastor in Lechuza, however, he believes that their traditional music can
